Added a tad more...think I may do design work on the entire body to neutralize the intensity of the dragon's head...not sure of what yet though. It'll come to me...hopefully...pretty sure...haha:)

Oh I won't stop...I just got to figure out where I want to place things in relation to the rest of the picture. I don't want it to get all jumbled into one big spotted black mess. haha :hmm:

Most of the focus I think should go to the head...maybe you should do the rest of the body in a very light way (still, while filling all of it in, perhaps leave some spaces blank as highlights) Check out some Chinese paintings of dragons, they usually blank out a lot of the body with unpainted sections which end up looking like mist passing in front of the body...

This dragon is dominating the page though, and its face is even going off the page, so it appears like it is boldly coming at us. So it would look good to just boldly fill in the whole thing, as you say...

I think I am going to have light patches and dark on different parts of its body. I do agree with having its head as the main focal point in the picture, it's what draws you into the rest of the picture.

I still have a lot of work to do yet on the head though. Since the background is all black I think design work on the rest of the body would add to it visually.

It'll all come together in the end, it always does haha.

Awww thanks!! I've got a long way to go with it...and I'm still deciding on what I want the main focal point to be and how to tie that in with the rest of the picture.

...and it's a great thing to work on during boring lectures at school lol. :)

Wonderful detail. I really cannot wait to see it when you've finished it (as your previous comments seem to indicate you plan to do more).

I am curious, perhaps I am just reaffirming my crazy, but at the midsection of his neck it appears to have a face created with a very light dotted line work. Am I hallucinating or did you intend the ghostly image?
